Storage Unit Netlabel presents its second 2-track grand release, "The Works Split", featuring a new member joining the family - the talented Sarah Kersey!
The split begins with my demo mix of 'Cell Transit', a track that takes listeners through biological rush hour traffic with warm, textured ambient atmosphere and energetic drum breaks.
Track 2 features a good friend of mine, Sarah Kersey, with her debut song 'Blind Vision'. Her fine use of experimental melodies and folk/rock influence make this song flow nicely with her lyrical creativity.
All in all, "The Works Split" offers a fine array of colorful styles wrapped up in one package, and that is what Storage Unit is all about. Please enjoy!
"Blind Vision" is quite lovely with the guitar and how at one point Sarah's voice begins to echo as she recites an original poem of hers. "Cell Transit", the title reminds me of one other song with the name transit in it, but was made for the Almost Alice album. Really like the drums in this one and the part where it sounds like to be from an old video game soundtrack. Anyway, give them a listen. You'll never know if you might enjoy them!
